The political, economic, military, and cultural aspects of those civilizations will be examined and analyzed in an effort to promote critical thinking and to help students make global connections between the past and present.
All students will be required to read and write about history. They will be required to take notes. They will learn historical facts (dates, names, locations) and be able to use that information to create essays containing a thesis and supporting evidence. Students will study world geography as an essential part of understanding world history.
